Alexander Middle School About Alexander Middle School
Message From the Principal
Hello, Papermaker Family,
My name is Jason Julius, and I am very excited to be joining the staff, students, and families of the Nekoosa School District. I will be the new building principal at Alexander Middle School. I look forward to meeting and working with all of you.
Let me take a little time to introduce myself and my family. My wife, Julie, and I have moved to the area after spending most of our careers in Platteville. There are many reasons that prompted the move and those are stories for another time, but needless to say, we are excited to be here. Julie will continue her teaching career for the Necedah School District. We are blessed with 3 boys, Blake, Trent, and Dayne. Blake and his wife Emma live in Dubuque, IA. Trent just graduated from UW-Eau Claire and has accepted a teaching position with the Necedah School District as well. Our youngest, Dayne, is a junior at UW-LaCrosse.
For the past 9 years, I have been the Middle School Principal for the Platteville School District. Prior to that, I taught Physics and Mathematics at the high school level. My focus as a teacher and a principal is that I want every student and staff member to feel respected and supported. That focus will not change as I become part of the Papermaker Family.
I genuinely look forward to meeting all of you and can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to be part of your community.
Thanks
Jason Julius
The Academics
At Alexander Middle School we support all aspects of middle school student life through academic offerings and social-emotional curriculum. Our academic approaches develop individualized voice and choice pathways for each learner, a developmentally needed approach for middle schoolers who at these ages start forming the identities and preferences they will build upon for the rest of their lives.
