Message From the Principal

Hello, Papermaker Family,

My name is Jason Julius, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Alexander Middle School. Each day, I am inspired by the dedication of our staff, the talents of our students, and the support of our families. Together, we are building a school community where every child is valued, challenged, and encouraged to grow.

A little about me—my wife, Julie, has recently joined the Nekoosa School District as a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher, and we are excited to share in this journey together. We are blessed with three boys—Blake, Trent, and Dayne—who continue to bring energy and joy into our lives.

My commitment as your principal is simple: I want every student, staff member, and family to feel respected, supported, and connected. Education works best when we partner together, and I look forward to continuing to strengthen the relationships that make our Papermaker Family so special.

At Alexander Middle School we support all aspects of middle school student life through academic offerings and social-emotional curriculum. Our academic approaches develop individualized voice and choice pathways for each learner, a developmentally needed approach for middle schoolers who at these ages start forming the identities and preferences they will build upon for the rest of their lives.

Grading for Learning, also known as Standards Based Grading, communicates how students are performing on essential learning targets that are created from the Wisconsin Academic Standards.
