🎒Nekoosa Backpack Program🎒
The Nekoosa Backpack Program's mission is to alleviate short-term food insecurity by providing a weekend's worth of nutritious food in a backpack. The program serves families whose children are students in the Nekoosa School District.
How does the Backpack Program work?
Eligible families receive a backpack at their student's school at the end of the week. The backpack must be returned to the school at the beginning of the following week in order for it to be filled for the next weekend.

📘English Learners📘
The purpose of the English Learners (EL) Program is to ensure that English language learners and their families engage meaningfully in the full array of educational programs and services provided by the Nekoosa School District.
At the core of our expertise is a focus on how students acquire academic language in school settings.
We strive to continually develop increased capacity in ourselves, our students, and our families for self-sufficiency in bridging differences of language and culture so that all NSD Students engage fully in district programs and services.
