Apply for Open Enrollment
If you would like your child(ren) to attend school in the School District of Nekoosa but you are not a resident, there are two ways to apply for open enrollment:
- The regular application period is used to apply for the following school year.
- The alternative application procedure is used to apply for the current school year.

During the Regular Open Enrollment Application Period
The Regular Open Enrollment period is open effective February 2, 2026 through April 30, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

After the Regular Open Enrollment Application Period
JULY 1 THROUGH FEBRUARY.
Open Enrollment Alternative Application must be used from July 1, 2026 through February 2027.

Part-Time Open Enrollment Application
A student enrolled in a public school in the high school grades may attend public school in a nonresident school district for purpose of taking a course offered by the nonresident school district. A student may attend no more than two courses at any time in nonresident school districts.
