Wisconsin State Assessments by Grade

School District of Nekoosa uses a balanced assessment approach to both inform teaching and learning as well as measure student progress. This includes a variety of assessment strategies in the classroom and a set of common assessments given at each grade level. Listed below are the assessments taken by all students at each grade level and links to learn additional information:

• PALS - Grades K - 3
• Forward Exam - Grades 3-8 English Language Arts and Math, grades 4 & 8 Science, grades 4, 8, & 10 Social Studies, please see the Forward Exam link on the side menu.
• ACT Aspire - Grades 9 & 10
• ACT - Grade 11
• ACT WorkKeys - Grade 11
• Dynamic Learning Map (DLM™) assessment measures the academic progress of students with significant cognitive disabilities in the subject areas of ELA and Mathematics at grades 3-11, Science at grades 4 and 8-11, and in Social Studies at grades 4, 8, and 10.
