School District of Nekoosa
Referendum April 7, 2020 - Results
Thank you residents of the Nekoosa School District!
The results are in and we are please to inform you that 64% of voters approved a 5-year non-recurring operating referendum. These funds will allow the district to maintain and improve educational programming for students. Likewise, the capital referendum was approved by 54% of the voters. The funds will be used to replace the track and repair other athletic facilities.
With this vote of support, we look forward to continuing our work to deliver a high quality education to the students of our district and beginning the work to repair our athletic fields. We are very grateful for this outcome. Importantly we are grateful to all the voters who cast their votes: This was an unprecedented year and we appreciate everyone who participated in the election process.
Two Board of Education positions were also decided by the April 7 election. Incumbents Brian Giese (1721 votes) and Pat Resheske (1214 votes) received the most votes, therefore will continue to serve on the Board.
